Home Staging and Professional Photography

Last week I was asked to photograph this stunning property on the outskirts of Leicestershire.

Set in North West Leicester, this property had been fully interior styled by Lemon and Lime Interiors. I always say - the preparation in making your property ready for photography is always the longest but most worth-while part.

If you’ve not found my guide to preparing your home - find it here

How long did this photography session take?

Over the space of two hours, I managed to photograph the whole property inside and outside. As the property was already very well prepared before I arrived - the work required during the session was absolute minimal.

The completed project was with the client the very next day. In property, time is of the essence.

One of the great things about this property is that is was excellent weather, one of the important things to consider when booking your photography appointment is the time of the day.

Make sure to take a couple of days before looking at how the light effects different parts of your property throughout the day. If you can’t decided on a good time in the day to photograph- give your photographer a quick call, they should be able to safely guide you through the best hours to photograph your specific property for it’s position and location.

So, what is home staging?

Home staging is simple an additional marketing tool available which concentrates on making your home 100% photography ready. Whether that is starting with a completely empty property, adding a few furnishing props or giving the property a new lick of paint.

The goal of staging is to make a home appealing to the highest number of people in the target demographic. This could be home buyers / holiday homes for rent / commercial properties / maritime and so forth.

Many experienced home staging companies will work with a range of other companies - such as photographers, gardeners, painter and decorators and so forth. It’s always worth reaching out to your home staging company to see their full list of services.

If this project has made you interested in finding out more about either professional photography or using home stagers to maximise the space and feel of your property - make sure to get in touch today. I’d love to have a chat with you.
